I love my job. I love audio, every aspect of it. I may not be that great, but I still love it and am learning new things everyday. It's one of those things that I never get tired of doing. The awesome power that an incredible sound system has and knowing that you have control over that system is quite a rush. The problem solving, interaction with others and just the overall experience is amazing. Another privilege I have working at Calvary is that I get to do all this and I get to do it for the Lord. Doing what you love to do and serving the Lord, it's a winning combination.
Now it's not all smooth sailing, there are days where I don't necessarily want to be there, if I am having a bad day or my mix sounds bad, etc.
I guess the point of this post is to tell everyone to do what you love and pursue it. It's not always all about the money. I would rather do what I love and make pennies than to hate my job everyday and make millions.
Plus, who gets an office like this?
After working in the morning over at LFF, and snow blowing ours and the neighbors driveway, we piled in the Wrangler and headed off.
Here is a picture of us on 83 on the way... unfortunately the battery in my phone died shortly after, so this is the only shot I got.
So after getting the lift tickets and getting all geared up, we hit the slopes. Now, it had been a little while since any of us had ski, so of course we had to warm up on the bunny hill. One run and we were ready to go. The mountain was pretty much completely empty the conditions were great, a tad cold and icy, but it was all good. We hit up every trail and slope there, even the double black diamonds. As we were skiing, we couldn't help but think about the ski resorts like Killington or other resorts and how their bunny hills are probably the equivalent to a double black at Roundtop, but either way we had a good time. Toward the end of the night, I would probably say our favorite thing to do was just go as fast as we could down the one trail called Minuteman. It was completely empty and we could just fly. No slalom, just tuck and go. Thankfully, there were no accidents during the day and everyone came out in-tact.
Our next trip? Sugarloaf...
